Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Critical Care Stepdown Unit (IMC/MCCSU). The role is full-time with day and night rotations (7:00 a.m./7:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m./a.m.), including weekends and holidays.

The unit provides transition-level care for stable but critically ill patients, with typical nurse/patient ratios around 3:1. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN or ADN with plan to complete BSN if ADN within 5 years.
• 1 year of RN experience in critical care or MCCU preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification; Virginia RN license or multi-state license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and interpret data sets.
• Develop and update individualized care plans based on findings.
• Deliver patient- and family-centered care and coordinate services for transitions.
• Document care activities and support team with accurate charting.
