Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in our Cardiac Hospitalist area. You will provide hands-on patient care in a 24-bed unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, leveraging telemetry and advanced technology to monitor and manage high-acuity patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Monitor telemetry and patient status in a high-acuity setting.
• Administer and manage respiratory support (BiPAP, High Flow Oxygen).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers and therapy teams.
