Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step-Down unit, 7 West, in the Cardiac Hospitalist area. The role involves caring for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with a 24-bed unit and a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.

You will work rotating shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with weekend and holiday rotations. Qualifications include Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS; ICU/CCU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the Critical Care Step-Down unit (24 beds).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT and OT.
• Monitor and respond to patient conditions with critical thinking.”
