Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an ECMO specialist to participate in treatment planning, assessment, implementation, and education for ECMO patients. You will collaborate with the ECMO physician and the healthcare team to interpret and adjust care plans, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, ECMO training, and at least 2 years in critical care, with applicable licenses. This is a PRN, on-site opportunity in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Completion of an ECMO training program or formal ECMO education.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.
• Texas RN, RRT or CCP licensure required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develops treatment plans for ECMO patients under physician guidance.
• Interprets, adjusts, and completes ECMO patient care plans with the team.
• Communicates with ECMO physician and healthcare staff for plan optimization.

Job Purpose

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.

Licenses And/or Certifications

• Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
• Or RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
• Or CCP – Certified Perfusion License

And

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
