Job summary

Merit Health in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will coordinate with physicians and the care team, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.

The role requires 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience, RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care following nursing process and physician orders.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
