Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 6 months of start date
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start date
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of start date
• RN - Registered Nurse certification required
• Cath Lab experience required

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift; reports changes in status
• Assesses patient environment for safety risks and regulatory compliance
• Assesses patient pain regularly and reassesses after intervention
• Assesses for signs of abuse or neglect and reports to providers or appropriate agencies
• Performs procedures and medications administration as ordered; documents care in chart
• Monitors therapeutic response and notifies provider of any adverse reactions
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs
• Educates patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications and potential side effects
• Educates about non-medicinal follow-up measures, diet, exercise and lifestyle changes
• Manages care team and delegates tasks as appropriate
• Implements evidence-based practices and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes
• Coordinates holistic treatment plans with multidisciplinary teams
• Communicates with community resources to ensure continuation of care
