Qualifications
Must possess a valid RN license for the state.
Certification in BLS required at the time of hiring.
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hiring.
Responsibilities
Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document accurately and timely using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment data including labs and telemetry.
Ensure accurate transcription and processing of medical orders.
Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and their families.
