Qualifications

• RN license active in good standing.
• BLS required within 3 months of hire; ACLS within 1 year; NCC certification within 1 year preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale training within hire or 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate nursing care and supports patient comfort per care plan.
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments and discharge planning.
• Implements and evaluates care plans; ensures SBAR communication at shift change.
• Maintains safe medication administration and uses infection control practices.
• Assists in performance improvement activities and risk reduction.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Registered Nurse (RN) License

BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

ACLS

PALS (preferred)

NIH Stroke Scale training
