Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Critical Care Unit team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This 36-hour per week night shift (7p-7a) role includes weekend and holiday rotation in a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans for critically ill adults, collaborating across disciplines, and providing education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Prior/recent CCU experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, MOAB certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs and provides patient/family education.
• Delegates care to ancillary personnel and may precept students/new hires.
