Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse to join the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. The role focuses on direct care for critically ill adults, coordinating across disciplines to optimize outcomes.

Position is 36 hours per week on day shift (7a-7p) with weekend/holiday rotation. Competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting, strongly preferred.
• Prior/recent CCU experience, preferred.
• Preferred certifications: BLS, ACLS, MOAB.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to critically ill adult patients using the nursing process.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept students and new hires.
