Carolinas Medical Center's Medical ICU (MICU) is a 29-bed unit that cares for a diverse, high-acuity patient population requiring advanced critical care. Team members assist with intubations, vasoactive drips, and life-sustaining therapies, coordinating care with specialty consult services to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• At least 6 months RN experience; not for new graduates.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years inpatient critical care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
