Job summary

Advocate Health’s Atrium Health Union MICU is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour work week in a fast-paced 14-bed unit specializing in high-acuity adult patients. The role requires an RN license with BSN preferred and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

You will participate in evidence-based practice, coordinate with the care team, document meticulously in EHR, and support the unit's quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and treatments per protocols.
• Floats to other units as needed.
