Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wausau, WI to hire Registered Nurses for high-acuity ICU/Step-Down units. You’ll care for cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry patients in a structured, team-driven environment.

Role offers exposure to advanced cardiac and critical care pathways, with opportunities for growth into Charge RN and specialty roles. We welcome both new grads and experienced nurses who thrive in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RN license in WI or compact eligibility.
• BLS certification required (within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred depending on department.
• 3+ years RN experience in a comparable setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for high-acuity patients with drips, chest tubes, central lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in fast-paced unit.
• Manage frequent admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Deliver patient-centered care prioritizing safety and outcomes.
