Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center, part of Hartford HealthCare, is expanding its ICU/PCU team to enhance neuro-critical care, heart and vascular, and surgical oncology services in Bridgeport, CT.

We seek dedicated RNs for direct patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration within a Magnet-designated system. Graduate nurses join our Nurse Residency; we offer tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, wellness programs, PTO, health insurance, and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Connecticut RN license current.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.
• Two years of Medical-Surgical/Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates patient status.
• Carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge needs and plans care accordingly.
• Identifies patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related aspects.
