Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston is seeking a skilled registered nurse to collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care, using the nursing process, conducting assessments, assisting with exams and treatments, and documenting medical records. MHHS hires RNs based on experience groups (RN I–IV).

Applicants should hold a Texas license (or compact), BLS certification, and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
Certified in Basic Life Support
Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
Experience / Knowledge / Skills: RN levels and communication skills

Responsibilities

Delivers safe and appropriate patient care using the nursing process.
Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team to plan and administer care.
Directs and may delegate tasks to healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.
Coordinates treatment plans and discharge/transfer planning.
Participates in program evaluation and process improvement activities.
Addresses diverse patient needs across the continuum of care and maintains service standards.
Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
Promotes professional growth and may serve as preceptor or mentor.
