Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Nurse to deliver expert care for patients in the ICU. You will monitor life-threatening conditions, assist with procedures, manage complex medications, and coordinate patient transport to support rapid recovery.

The role requires 2 years of ED/ICU experience, a California RN license and active BLS/ACLS/PALS along with TNCC and NRP training or plans to obtain within six months.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED and/or ICU experience within last 5 years
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Current California RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC; TNCC/NRP due within 6 months
• Strong verbal and written communication and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Float to departments as assigned with professional handoff
• Perform routine assessments following care plans and guidelines
• Formulate and participate in plans of care for patient needs
• Adapt education to patient and family during care delivery
• Ensure efficient care delivery and determine immediate priorities
• Make independent clinical decisions based on education and experience
