Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team at the Hackensack location. You will perform assessments, develop plans of care, and collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure safe, evidence-based delivery.

Applicants must hold an RN license, have an associate degree or diploma in nursing, pursue a BSN within three years, and complete BLS/CPR within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma of Nursing.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Current and valid RN license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in HMH Nurse Residency Program.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing peers, and support services for patient care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and treatments.
• Document care and interventions in the electronic health record.
• Support discharge planning and ongoing patient satisfaction.
