Qualifications

• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing; RN license for Tennessee; CPR certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic and patient monitoring, detecting acute changes and escalating concerns.
• Administer and monitor therapies, start/maintain IVs, ensure patient rights with medication administration, prevent falls and skin breakdown.
• Manage rapidly changing situations by identifying and addressing needs.
• Prioritize, coordinate and meet multiple patient needs in a timely manner.
• Contribute to a healing environment, provide patient comfort, advocate for patients, and maintain therapeutic environment.
• Assess and explain patient conditions, and educate patients about their illness.
