Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an RN in the Critical Care unit to join an interdisciplinary team delivering individualized, high-quality care. The role participates in the Wellstar governance model and follows the Professional Practice Model and ANA standards.

The nurse will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with physicians and support staff, and uphold safety and ethical guidelines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred.
• RN license (Single State) or RN-COMPACT license.
• BLS certification either through standard BLS or equivalents.
• ACLS certification or equivalent within 180 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
• Provides relationship-based, patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity.
• Partners with patient and family through bedside report, rounds and education.
• Practices using current clinical standards and protocols.
• Coordinates safe, high-quality patient care with interdisciplinary teams and thorough documentation.
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
• Prepares and mentors staff to ensure a qualified workforce.
• Contributes to data collection and research to address practice questions.
