HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse for the CVICU to provide expert care in a high-acuity environment. You will join a collaborative team praised for supporting one another and delivering safe, high‑quality care.

The role requires a Florida RN license (compact acceptable with within-60-days activation), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications within set timelines. Prior acute care experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations; active FL RN license required within 60 days if compact license held.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of critically ill patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
