Job summary

The registered respiratory therapist provides bedside respiratory care to patients as assigned by supervisors and given on the physician’s written order for both in-house and out-patient care. Based in Texas, the role requires clinical expertise and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities include administering medications, managing oxygen therapies, arterial blood gas sampling, and operating respiratory equipment with attention to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC required.
• Minimum two years in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor indications/contraindications.
• Set up and monitor oxygen delivery and related equipment.
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
