Qualifications

• New York State Respiratory Therapist license required
• BLS certification required
• Neonatal certification required within 1 year for RT/Technicians
• ACLS certification required within 1 year for RT/Technicians

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with respiratory issues per physician orders
• Administer respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures
• Set up and operate respiratory equipment and monitor patient status
• Educate patients and families about therapies and home care
• Mentor and orient new staff and students
