Job summary

Hendry Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to deliver specialized respiratory care across hospital units under the guidance of medical staff and the Cardiopulmonary Services director.

The role requires Florida licensure, BLS/ACLS, and strong customer service in a fast-paced setting. Experience in critical or emergency care is preferred, with proficiency in EHR systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Current State of Florida License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred or Certified Respiratory Therapist required.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification required. NRP, PALS, and STABLE certifications preferred.
• Previous Respiratory Therapist experience preferred in the disciplines of Critical / Emergency Care.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to multi-task while working in a high volume work environment required.
• Able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, patients and their families to accomplish team goals.
• Ability to plan, organize and perform job associated tasks to completion. Willing to adjust personal schedule to accommodate patient needs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computers and proficiency in the use of an electronic health record system required, CPSl/Evident preferred. Knowledge of web based programs and Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in all areas of the hospital under medical direction.
• Work under the medical director of Cardiopulmonary Services.
• Deliver high-quality care while following established regulations, policies and procedures.
