Job summary

Kindred Hospital Dallas Central and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized care with vent management, ABG assessment, and procedural support. You will collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include airway management, oxygen therapy, and careful documentation, with a focus on safe, evidence-based practices in a fast-paced LTACH/ARU setting.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary RT program or equivalent required.
• CRT/RRT credential upon hire (preferred) and BCLS/ACLS required.
• Fluent English with clear communication in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care per unit policies and physician orders.
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilation and oxygen delivery.
• Document care and ensure accurate charge capture.
• Verify physician orders and initiate procedures for RT care.
• Operate and disinfect respiratory equipment and instruments.
• Support airway management and weaning per protocol.
• Provide patient and family education and training as needed.
