Wellstar Health System's Cobb Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II for the Night shift, part-time weekend nights, to deliver advanced respiratory care in critical care settings and support patient education.

The RT II works with the care team on complex cases, performing ventilator management, assessments, and therapy, while developing staff and ensuring safety and quality. Requires NBRC-RRT, BLS/ACLS, and 0–2 years of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC-RRT certification required upon hire.
• BLS or ARC-BLS required; ACLS preferred or as per policy.
• 0–2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient care in critical care areas with protocol ventilator management.
• Performs patient assessment and therapy administration.
• Educates patients and mentors new staff and students.
• Verifies orders and administers aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy.
• Promotes safety, documentation accuracy and teamwork.
• Collaborates with the health care team in planning and delivering care.
