Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• NBRC-RRT certification required upon hire; RCP credential also listed.
• BLS required; ACLS required or instructor credentials preferred.
• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, teamwork and computer/databases proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care in critical care areas with ventilator management.
• Performs airway management, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Educates patients and mentors staff; participates in quality initiatives.
• Collaborates with health care team; verifies orders and documents care.
• Promotes patient safety and participates in performance improvement.
