The position involves performing assessments, managing ventilation and oxygen, educating patients, and collaborating with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Registry-eligible therapists must have 2 years of critical care experience.
• Current BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy assessments and administer treatments for acute and chronic respiratory illness.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilation and oxygen support systems; notify physicians of changes.
• Maintain secure airways and perform suctioning as needed.
• Evaluate and distribute diagnostic test results to physicians and care teams.
• Educate patients on procedures and answer clinical questions.
• Maintain patient charts and billing documentation.
• Train and cross-train clinical staff and allied health professionals.
• Maintain competency on all procedures and equipment.
• Clean, sterilize, and troubleshoot equipment.
