Job summary

Air Combat Effectiveness Consulting Group, LLC seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care under supervision, including patient assessment, blood gas collection and ventilator management. Qualifications

• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of California.
• Graduate from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program and credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current CPR, NRP, and PALS certifications required. ACLS preferred. NRP may be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs technically adequate therapy in and acceptable amount of time.
• Prepares accurate patient charges, maintains patient records and documentation.
• Consult with the Lead RCP, RN and/or physician in questionable situations.
• Uses respiratory equipment properly and performs cleaning and maintenance.
• Performs patient assessment to determine appropriateness of ordered therapy.
• Perform Arterial Blood Gas procedure.
• Follows all hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates professionalism in working with patients' families and medical staff.
• Attend department staff meetings and review minutes if needed.
• Use PPE as appropriate to the task performed.
• Focus on patient satisfaction and quality of care.
• Maintain professional standards for clinical practice.

Education

Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of California.
