Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an RN - Resource in Critical Care to provide clinical oversight across patient units and ensure safe, skilled patient care in alignment with nursing policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and education for nursing personnel, while coordinating bed management between critical care, telemetry, and emergency departments to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 3 years of critical care experience
• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC
• CPR certification required
• CCRN certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical oversight of nursing personnel.
• Provide leadership and orientation to clinical personnel.
• Serve as a role model, leader, consultant, collaborator, educator, and clinician.
• Maintain communication regarding bed management between critical care areas, telemetry units, and the emergency department.
• Work with Intensivist to manage emergency nursing for patient condition exacerbations.
• Provide inservice on patient care to all staff in assigned clinical areas.
• Collaborate with directors and managers to optimize patient outcomes.
