Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, MI seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team. You will provide direct patient care, perform history taking, exams, diagnostics, and independent management within a supervised physician network.

You will prescribe within licensure, educate patients, and coordinate referrals. The role requires current Michigan NP license, ACLS or willingness to obtain, and ongoing CME; teamwork, communication, and emergency readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure to practice in the State of Michigan.
• Graduate from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Continuing medical education as required by the certification body.
• ACLS Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: assess, obtain histories, perform exams and diagnose illnesses.
• Prescribes or dispenses medications within licensure scope and orders tests.
• Collaborates with physicians and specialists on patient management.
• Participates in on-call as determined by department needs.
• Documents care timely and contributes to quality improvement activities.
