Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Broward County, Florida is seeking a Critical Care Physician Assistant to join a well-established intensivist group. The role focuses on supervising care for severely ill patients in a high-performing ICU setting.

The successful candidate will hold an NP or PA credential, be authorized to work in the U.S., and have strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexible day and night shifts with full-time or part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care of critically ill patients.

• Facilitate coordinated care and clear communication among all healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate, complete documentation in the EMR.

Opportunity: Seeking a Critical Care Physician Assistant to join a well established group.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the care of critically ill patients.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical assessments of patients that are thorough, complete, concise, relevant, and appropriate for age, gender and tailored to the patient’s clinical condition.
• Manage general medical and surgical conditions based on knowledge of the indications, contraindications, side effects, interactions and adverse reactions of pharmacologic agents and other relevant treatment modalities.
• Facilitate consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner requires Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Physician Assistant requires Bachelors or Master’s degree from accredited PA program.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Board Certified in Acute Care.
• Active State license and DEA.
• 8‑hour shifts days or 12‑hour shifts nights (open to FT or PT). Looking for 2 full time or 1 full time + 2 part time for both day shifts and night shifts.
