Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL is seeking an experienced critical care physician for inpatient ICU coverage at our Level II trauma center.

Join a team of 2 FT physicians and 4 APPs. Shifts are 24 hours (7am-7pm; 7-on/7-off), employed within a nonprofit health system. Board certified in Critical Care; Florida licensure and DEA registration required; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient ICU coverage at a Level II trauma center.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced critical care physician to help support an established practice at our Level II trauma center in Panama City.

• Practice setting: primarily inpatient ICU
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified in Critical Care
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a highly efficient practice model
• Shifts are 24hrs (12 onsite, 12 unattached call - APP is onsite overnight)
• At least 1 year of critical care experience is preferred

• Sacred Heart Bay opened in 1949 and was acquired by Ascension in 2019 to further the Sacred Heart mission in the Panama City community: providing excellent health care to all people, with special attention to the poor and vulnerable.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
