Job summary

Global Dynamics seeks a Pharmacist to educate and interact with patients in an outpatient clinic setting focused on health promotion and wellness. Fort Sam Houston, TX-based, the role involves direct patient care, medication management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize therapy.

The position requires an ASHP PGY1 residency with PGY2 in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care, plus BLS/ACLS certifications, and a PharmD from ACPE-accredited programs.

Qualifications

• Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and ASHP-accredited PGY2 in Emergency Medicine Pharmacy or Critical Care Pharmacy.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency plus 3 years of practical clinical practice in Emergency Medicine with BPS board certification may be accepted.
• BLS and ACLS certification are required.
• Pharmacy Doctorate (PharmD) from ACPE-accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy.
• Provide direct patient care and medication management activities.
• Clinically evaluate patients in the area daily.
• Document pharmacy recommendations in medical records.
• Review drug regimens for indications, dosing, interactions, and lab monitoring.
• Provide drug information to physicians and nurses.
• Respond to trauma/Code Blue emergencies.
• Develop and monitor clinical protocols.
• Offer consultative services to improve medication usage and outcomes.
• Process prescriptions and manage pharmaceutical supplies.
• Facilitate discharge planning from a pharmacy perspective.
