Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Critical Care/Yawkey 6 IMCU. Under RN supervision, you will assist with direct patient care, monitor vitals, and support families while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality outcomes. Applicants should have a high school diploma, BLS/CPR, and ability to pass clinical competency testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification; CPR required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• One year of previous experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute hospital setting or nursing student with rotations; equivalent training accepted.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions for Critical Care patients and families.
• Clinical tasks include vitals, bathing, feeding, wound dressing, hygiene, room cleaning.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and ensure proper equipment.
• Contribute to efficient operations and quality patient/family outcomes.
