Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking a PCNA for the Float Pool to provide patient care for surgical ICU and trauma patients during nights, with rotating weekends and holidays. You will work under RNs across multiple critical care units and have opportunities for education and skill development.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; nursing students must have BLS prior to hire. STNA preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross, or must obtain during hire.
• Nursing students must have BLS prior to hire.
• Military experience (HM, 68W, 4N0X1) will be considered.
• Proficient in applied mathematics & reading comprehension at an eighth-grade level.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN. Includes vital signs, weight, ADLs, transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, and catheter care.
• Report abnormal findings or changes to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
