Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support the NTICU team under the direction of the RN or LPN. You will assist with individualized patient care and perform clinical and non-clinical tasks to help patients reach the highest level of wellness.

The NTICU unit handles complex traumatic injuries and neuro/ neuro-surgical emergencies; no prior experience required as Mercy provides a 175-hour training program within 90 days of hire to meet state guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Certifications: BLS Required within one month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in individualized care under the direction of the RN or LPN.
  • Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care.

Education
