Job summary

DocGo is seeking a Critical Care Paramedic in Ridgewood, NY for part-time field care and transport. You’ll work with a 24/7 dispatch team to provide high-quality patient care, within state protocols and using modern equipment.

Requirements include NYS Paramedic License, NYC REMAC, and various ACLS/PALS credentials, plus strong communication skills and team orientation. Weekend and overnight availability is essential for this emergency medical operations role.

Qualifications

  • NYS Paramedic License and NYC REMAC certification.
  • FP-C or CC accreditation from a board-certified facility.
  • Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • BLS with American Heart Association.
  • ACLS with American Heart Association.
  • PALS with American Heart Association.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy or comfortable with using technology.
  • Able to work on a team.
  • Lift, carry, push and pull at least 125 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure top tier patient care.
  • Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock.
  • Remain up to date with standards of care and certifications as a Paramedic.
  • Maintain courteous, professional conduct with patients and staff.
  • Recognize and treat medical conditions with appropriate techniques.
  • Provide top tier medical transport to facilities following policies.
  • Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking and organizing space.
  • Gather patient billing information and signatures.
  • Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
  • Respond promptly to Dispatch Center assignments.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs or more.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with your fellow employees to ensure top tier patient care.
  • Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.
  • Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations as a Paramedic.
  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all state and city protocols.
  • Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities and hospitals by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures as a Paramedic.
  • Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
  • Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
  • Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
  • Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs or more.
  • Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • NYS Paramedic License and NYC REMAC
  • FP-C or CC accreditation from a board-certified educational facility
  • Driver's License (minimum of 2 years) and an acceptable driving record
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) with American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Basic Life Support) with American Heart Association
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Lide Support) with American Heart Association
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy or comfortable with using technology
  • Able to work on a team
  • Respectful of colleagues, patients, and leadership
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull at least 125 lbs
