Sound Physicians in Great Falls, Montana, seeks a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-acuity, evidence-based ICU care in collaboration with a tele-ICU team and hospital staff. You will provide 12-hour day coverage, perform bedside procedures, and guide patient-care plans for cardiothoracic and observation ICU patients.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner required.
• Two years ICU independent provider experience with procedure logs required.

• Active Montana license and DEA preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour ICU coverage with a tele-ICU physician.
• Approximately 15 shifts per month on a modified block schedule.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, consultants and hospital teams.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement treatment plans.
• Perform bedside procedures including central/arterial line placement and ventilation management.
• Participate in goals of care discussions and family communication.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives as determined.

Practice at the Top of Your License as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner in Great Falls, Montana

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our team of advanced practice providers and tele-critical care physicians to provide exceptional patient care resulting in positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

• Two years of experience as an independent provider in the ICU (with procedure logs).

• Montana Nurse Practitioners must demonstrate completion of 6,240 hours of supervised practice under a collaborative agreement with a physician.

• Must have certificate of full independent practice authority from the state of Montana.

• Active Montana license and DEA preferred.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

• ICU coverage is 12-hour day Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider 7 a.m. -7 p.m. working in collaboration with Sound tele-ICU physician.

• Average of 15 shifts per month, modified block shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• 10-bed surgical ICU with cardiothoracic patients and observation ICU patients, estimated 8 encounters per day.

• Work collaboratively with the cardiothoracic surgeon, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, consultants and other hospital team members to deliver high quality, evidence-based critical care services.

• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement patient treatment plans.

• Perform bedside procedures within scope of practice including central line and arterial line placement and intubation. Manage mechanical ventilation in collaboration with respiratory therapy.

• Participate in goals of care discussions and family communication.

• Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives as determined.

Rewards and Compensation:

• Annual salary, $200,000 plus based on 15 12-hour shifts per month.
