Job summary

University of Cincinnati is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the FLEX-ICU at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The role involves caring for critically ill and complex patients on 12-hour shifts, with day, swing, and night coverage, including potential overtime in the ED.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential. Requirements include an advanced degree (Nursing or PA), active Ohio licensure with prescriptive authority, and board certification

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (acute care).
• Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Provide state-of-the-art care to critically ill patients in FLEX-ICU at UCMC.
• Develop treatment plans with attending physician and critical care team.
• Prescribe and monitor medications per prescriptive authority.
• Perform arterial and central line placements, and related procedures.
• Engage in Quality Management and data collection initiatives.
• Fulfill other duties to support the department's mission.
