Job description

Job Description: Westchester Medical Center, the flagship hospital of the WMCHealth Network, has an excellent opportunity for a Critical Care Nephrologist in our Valhalla, NY location. The Division of Nephrology is seeking a Nephrologist to join a thriving multiple physician Nephrology group in the lower Hudson Valley vicinity. The Nephrology department at Westchester Medical Center consists of 8 practicing Nephrologists and two experienced Physician Assistants. This practice provides clinical nephrology services as well as faculty training for our excellent Renal Fellowship program. The practice is looking for an additional nephrologist due to continued growth and increase in demand. Critical care experience is a plus as we are expanding our combined Renal/Critical Care Fellowship program.

Responsibilities:

  • Outpatient general nephrology
  • Outpatient dialysis unit rounds
  • Inpatient consultations at Westchester Medical Center
  • Unique opportunities to help develop and expand the home dialysis program
  • Opportunities for medical directorships
  • On-call will be 1:7 for consultations only
  • If eligible, time allocated for Critical Care services will be included in the applicant's schedule

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Applicants must have an MD (or equivalent) degree and must be board certified/board eligible in Nephrology by the date of hire
  • Additional board certification/eligibility in Critical Care preferred
  • Qualified to obtain a New York State license
  • H1b Visa Sponsorship will be considered
