Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is expanding and seeking a full-time Critical Care Intensivist (MD/DO) under the Department of Anesthesiology to lead a 16-bed Surgical ICU within the Moffitt Medical Group.

This position requires primary board certification (or eligibility) by ABA/ABIM/ABMS and a completed ACGME‑approved Critical Care fellowship, plus excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate care across teams.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are required. Assess, treats and supports patients with one or more vital organ system failures with the goal of preventing further life- threatening deterioration. Performs resuscitation in the care of patients with acute cardiac, respiratory, or neurologic emergencies.Procedures that intensivists perform include intubation, difficult airway management, central and arterial line placement, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, ultrasonography, and diagnostic / therapeutic bronchoscopy, among others.As a physician of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG), provides patient care and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise. Spanning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education and advances the Institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.
