Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Internal Resource Pool (IRP) in the Critical Care Laboratory. The position is intermittent as needed with varying hours, supporting automated and manual testing around the clock.

Requirements include a 4-year degree or higher from a NAACLS accredited program and MLS/ASCP/AMT certification or ability to obtain MLS within one year. University Hospital | Critical Care Laboratory location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Degree from NAACLS accredited program or equivalent.
• MLS/ASCP/AMT/MT/MLS board certification required or obtainable within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine automated and manual laboratory procedures.
• Verify and report test requests and results.
• Troubleshoot analyzers and test methods and review quality controls.
• Call critical values and address pre-analytical issues with internal and external customers.
