Job summary

Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator for the CICU on a full-time, day shift.

Under RN supervision, the HUC facilitates a safe department environment, manages communications, coordinates patient flow, and supports documentation. Required include CNA training or progress in nursing, EMT, and BLS on hire, plus 1 year acute care or 6 months clerical experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing assistant training or progress in nursing program.
• EMT program completion is acceptable.
• American Heart Association BLS certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a safe and secure environment in CICU under RN supervision.
• Coordinate patient flow and bedside communications between nurses, families, and providers.
• Assist with patient documentation and charting as directed by the RN and Nurse Leader.
