Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA seeks a Critical Care Float RN to provide comprehensive nursing care across Critical Care/Telemetry and Emergency Services. You will assess needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient transitions.

The role requires RN licensure (VA or compact), CPR/BLS and ACLS certification, and the ability to work PRN floats per the agreement. Weekend shifts and irregular hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or Associate Degree, Nursing; Nursing Diploma is minimum education requirement.
• HS Diploma/GED required only if Nursing Diploma Graduate.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop an individualized care plan.
• Partner with patients and families to implement and evaluate treatments and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Facilitate safe patient transitions to next care setting and ensure ethical care.
