Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital in Largo, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Float Pool. You’ll deliver high-quality, efficient care in our critical care environments while collaborating with a supportive team.

This role requires Florida RN license or compact licensure, BSN preferred, and current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. Acute care experience is strongly preferred, with opportunities for mentorship and education support.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida RN or compact licensure with active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required (6-month grace period from hire date).
• Current NIHSS certification required (6-month grace period from hire date).
• Certifications: CCRN/ONC/PCCN/Board Certified Cardiac/Vascular Nurse or CMSRN.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills; basic PC literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Critical Care level patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and exam results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
