Job summary

The Nurse is expected to promote the hospital within the community and ensure proper staffing, stepping in for leadership when needed. Applicants must hold NY RN licensure, BLS, and have at least 1 year of nursing experience, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NY RN licensure required.
• BLS required; ACLS & PALS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• BSN or related degree preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with strong leadership, communication and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of life-span development and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and guidance for nursing staff.
• Ensure delivery of comprehensive, safe and effective care.
• Coordinate coverage for all shifts to maintain safe staffing.
• Promote Olean General Hospital within the community.
• In absence of Nurse Manager, Staff/Charge RN handles facility functions.
