Job summary

Trusted Health is seeking a travel ICU nurse for OSU Wexner Medical Center in Ohio to float across Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, MICU, CVICU, and SICU/MICU/NCCU as needed.

Shift is 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, three shifts per week, with a 17-week assignment. Requires Ohio license or compact, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; travel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ohio license or compact license required after submission.
• Will float to multiple units within OSU organization as needed.
• Local and travel allowed. Candidates living in-state preferred.
• Flu vaccination required after submission (declinations accepted).
• Six-month gap rule between contracts at OSU Wexner Medical Center Aya Program.

Job description

Shift:

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Teaching hospital experience is required.
• IV Start.
• Telemetry.
• Ventilator management experience.

Required Credentials:

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit Details:

Adult patient population, including kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements:

Will float to different units within the OSU organization as needed, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and SICU/MICU/NCCU, based on staffing and patient acuity. Floating is limited to units of equivalent or lower acuity.
