Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) is hiring a Flight Nurse in McClellan, CA to join our air medical transport team. You will deliver critical care during patient transport to and from medical facilities and urgent scene calls, ensuring safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has emergency or adult critical care RN experience, current RN license, and required certifications. Training on CFRN within 24 months is provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care RN setting.
• Current RN license in states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP provided during training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and follow physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment with regular equipment/base checks and safety briefings.
• Communicate professionally with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and ensure accurate company and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
