Job summary

Global Medical Response seeks a Flight Nurse to join our air transportation team in McClellan, CA. The role involves assessing patients in critical care, providing care in flight, and maintaining a safe aircraft environment while coordinating with crew and facilities.

Required: Emergency/Adult Critical Care RN experience, active RN license, EMT/Trauma certs, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, CFRN within 24 months of hire. Competitive salary range listed. Training provided for NRP.

Qualifications

• Three years of Emergency or Adult Critical Care RN experience.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage the critically ill or injured patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment, perform base and equipment checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
• Collaborate and communicate professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and ensure accurate documentation and records as per protocols.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
