Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Critical Care Transport Nurse to provide emergency nursing care for patients transported by Life Flight. You will assess and document patient care with the flight physician or paramedic, representing Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and St.

Rita's to the community. Candidates must hold an Ohio RN license, with CAMTS-certified or obtained certs within a year. Required BCLS, ACLS, and TO6-month PALS/NRP; 3 years ICU/EM nursing experience preferred; shifts include

Qualifications

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Ohio
• CAMTS approved advanced certification (CCRN, CSC, ACNPC, CEN, CPEN, CFRN, or CTRN) required or obtained within one year of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Basic Trauma Life Support Certification required within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of hire
• Michigan Registered Nurse license preferred
• BCLS Instructor certification preferred
• ACLS Instructor certification preferred
• EMT Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care promptly and efficiently to patients transported via Mercy St. Vincent's Life Flight
• Assess, plan, organize, document, and evaluate patient care with flight physician or critical care transport paramedic
• Act as a professional representative of Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and St. Rita's Medical Center to the community
• Educate professional groups and EMS personnel and promote Mercy facilities as regional referral centers
• Care for patients of all age groups (neonatal to geriatric)
